"Flying Quilt Flags"
The Flying
Quilts project is designed to celebrate the rich & colorful
tradition of quilt making in Berea. Community groups,
churches, businesses, families and individuals have painted
quilt-themed banners which will be displayed throughout Berea
during its annual Quilt Extravaganza each August.
Prior to being hung on the streets of
Berea to celebrate Quilt Extravaganza, the Flying Quilts were displayed in the Berea Arts Council gallery on Main Street.
This project was made possible
through
funding from the
Kentucky Arts Council and by donations from local doctors, Brenda Huser-Taylor, DC and Mary Oldfield, DMD.
