Fettingis Watercolor Workshop

June 5, 6 & 7, 2008 - 9:30 to 4pm

Each spring the Berea Arts Council offers a workshop by the renowned watercolorist, Joe Fettingis.

Fettingis 2008 Watercolor Workshop

Joe Fettingis has been offering his workshops through the Berea Arts Council for more than ten years.  This year’s three-day workshop will focus on projects that are designed to bring the participants quickly to a higher level of painting skill.

This workshop will stress mixing colors and understanding how values and colors work together. The workshop will also feature working with three levels of moisture to achieve the desired results. Fettingis will break up the sessions with five or six small demos each day, then allow participants time to work on the presented information. “I am a strong believer that if the demos are long, the students get lost and frustrated,” Fettingis shares.

Joe Fettingis always brings fresh new projects and unique ways to see and understand watercolor painting. With his dynamic and effective teaching style, students leave the workshop not only with improved painting skills, but inspired and motivated to paint.
