Visual artists, how would you portray the concept and emotions of music? In January 2019 the Berea Arts Council moved and expanded its offerings. In addition to exhibits, we now offer a singer/songwriter series featuring local and regional musicians. The popular sessions and exceptional music inspired the concept for this exhibit. The above work is “Wood Blocks for Wood Cuts” by Bill Schafer. Photograph by Bob Bagley.
We invite you to submit works of visual art inspired by music, in whatever shape or form it speaks to you! The exhibit is open to any visual interpretation of music and any 2-D or 3-D medium. All submitted works must be ready to hang (using wire) or display on a pedestal.
The deadline to indicate participation is August 30, 2019. Please email email@example.com to indicate your interest.
Artwork delivery is on September 9 and 10, 2019.
The exhibit will be located at 444 Chestnut Street in Berea, from Sept. 13-Nov. 7, 2019
This is a non-juried exhibit, and all artists are encouraged to participate.
After you have contacted BAC before August 30th, please print out the forms below to accompany your artwork upon delivery on September 9th or 10th, 2019.
