The Berea Black History & Heritage project celebrates the rich and enduring legacy of Berea’s Black community, tracing its roots back to 1769. Through exhibits, storytelling, and community engagement, the project highlights the contributions, struggles, and achievements of Black residents who have shaped Berea’s cultural and historical landscape. Supported by organizations such as The Kentucky Arts Council, Kentucky Humanities, Partners for Rural Impact, Mountain Association, and BG Community Fund, this initiative ensures that these stories are preserved and shared for future generations.
