Literary Open Mic featuring Leigh Claire Schmidli

  • Berea Arts Council 444 Chestnut St. Berea United States (map)

The Berea Arts Council invites you to share your literary expressions in a friendly, supportive listening environment. Bring your poems, short stories, scenes from plays, excerpts from creative nonfiction --reading is not required, come to listen and learn! This month's featured speaker is local author Leigh Claire Schmidli. LEIGH CLAIRE SCHMIDLI thinks of many places as home: from Bangkok to Den Haag, from the Midwestern U.S. to the South. She writes poetry, essays, and fiction, enjoys reading work with lyrical leanings, and cooks elaborate meals that remind her of all the places she calls home. She'll use ginger in just about anything, even a story.

Admission is free for all ages to attend, and the bar will be open with beverages for sale.
